Tuesday August 16th - Andy Little reported a Greenshank.Andy Duncan has sent us photos of the Silver-washed Fritillary (a rare butterfly for Tice's Meadow) that he found on July 29th.

Wednesday August 17th
No reports.Thursday August 18th
Mark Elsoffer spent the day on site and reported 6 Common Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper, a Ruff (juvenile), 2 Greenshank (juveniles), 2 Ringed Plover (juveniles), 22 Lapwing, a Yellow-legged Gull (adult), 3 Red Kite, 2 Buzzard, a Kestrel and a Hobby.Ruff is the 138th species recorded on site this year. This is only the 9th recorded sighting of Ruff on site.
The following juvenile birds were recorded by Mark:
- 6 young Starlings in the Meadow.
- 10 young Jackdaws in the Meadow.
- 2 young Coot in the Workings.
- 1 young Moorhen in the Workings.
- A brood of 4 young Mallard in the Workings.
- At least 10 young Common Terns in the Workings.
- Numerous young Black-headed Gulls that were born on other sites.
The following butterflies were reported by Mark:
Small Skipper, Red Admiral, Brimstone & Common Blue.

Friday August 19th
Andy Little reported 3 Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, a Ruff and a Greenshank today.Saturday August 20th
Richard Seargent reported a Common Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper, a Ringed Plover and 2 Little Grebe this morning.Richard also reported a juvenile Great-crested Grebe and a Tufted Duck with 2 young.
In addition, Mike Huddie reported a Greenshank this morning.
Sunday August 21st
Richard Seargent reported 4+ Common Sandpiper, 5+ Green Sandpiper, a Ruff (juvenile), a Redshank, 6 Ringed Plover, a Dunlin, 16 Lapwing and a Black-tailed Godwit this morning.In addition, Richard Horton reported 2 Greenshank, a Swift, a Kestrel, a Peregrine and a Red Kite this morning.
In addition, Andy Little reported a Little Ringed Plover, 30 Lapwing, 2 Gadwall and 3 Shoveler today.
Kevin Duncan reported 2 new species for Tice's Meadow:

Carey Lodge reported 3 Green Sandpiper this morning.Carey also reported a Clouded Yellow butterfly.
Tuesday August 23rd
Richard Horton reported 3 Common Sandpiper, 5 Green Sandpiper, a Ruff (juvenile), a Redshank, a Greenshank, 6 Ringed Plover, a Dunlin, a Black-tailed Godwit and 16 Lapwing today.Wednesday August 24th
John Hunt reported 2 Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandiper, 4 Snipe, 17 Lapwing and a Wheatear this morning.In addition, Andy Little reported 2 Ringed Plover and a Little Grebe today.
