Big thank you to Roger, Mark & Lara for bird ringing all morning at the feeding station - 50 birds were ringed, plus 9 re-traps. We then went to the Kiln to ring the Barn Owls, but unfortunately no-one was home.

Our work doesn’t stop at the nature reserve boundary.... Working in partnership with the Badshot Lea Bloomers & Waverley Borough Council, this morning we built & launched a duck nesting raft on Badshot Lea Village Pond. Duck house to be added soon.

Our Barn Owls at the Kiln were ringed this morning by BTO licensed ringers Roger & Lara. Surprisingly, both owls were male - one was a juvenile from this year, and one an adult c4 years old. All of the data gathered will be used to help our knowledge of Barn Owls.
