Your Fund Surrey

We have registered with Surrey County Council's Your Fund Surrey scheme for a grant of between £250,000 and £1,000,000. If successful, we will use the funds to purchase Tice's Meadow Nature Reserve and place it in trust (or similar) for the benefit of the local community.

A detailed business case has to be submitted if we proceed to the next stage. In the meantime, we are asking all of our supporters to show their support by clicking the link below and "liking" our project:

Thanks to the efforts of Lord Len, our feeding station not only has a new wire perimeter fence, but he’s also added a new viewing screen. The feeders shall return soon.

With no sign of Dave the Brent Goose since early this morning, it appears he may have departed. Dave first appeared at Tice's on 29th November & was only the 8th record of Brent Goose for site. Little did we know that he'd stay 139 days!

Friday 16th April

We strung up the hops behind the shelter today, harking back to when parts of the reserve were farmed for hops.

A huge thanks to Roger Dickey and Lara Winsloe for bird ringing in the woods this morning, and then checking the nest boxes in the afternoon.
