We built two hibernacula (for hibernating reptiles) and two stumperies (for stag beetles), using logs we’d saved from coppicing the old hedgerow in Lisa’s Wood. We also made a great start to clearing the overflow ditch from the Bat Lake to the river Blackwater. We’ll continue this work in a couple of weeks and hopefully it will help the water levels go down a bit faster.
